The pandemic has surely made things miserable for all of us, but the development of multiple vaccines in a short period gives us a ray of hope. Vaccines have been developed across many countries, and it is important to make sure that it reaches to every individual.

To make vaccine management easier, tech giants have come up with their solutions. Today, we will learn about the three solutions for vaccine management by Microsoft, Google, and Salesforce.

So, let’s see what they have in store for us;

Microsoft for Vaccine Management

  • The Tech company is working with business partners like Accenture, Avanade, EY, and Mazik Global to deploy vaccine management solutions.
  • This will include registration capabilities for patients and providers, a phased schedule for vaccinations, streamlined reporting, and management dashboarding with analytics and forecasting.
  • Microsoft will also use data and AI solutions to provide actionable insights that enable public health and government officials. This will allow them to make informed decisions, improve vaccine education, and avoid supply disruption.
  • Also, The National Covid Vaccination Registration Program for the 45 million eligible citizens in the U.K. is built through an Azure web form and hosted on Azure.

    Microsoft will help people in the following ways;

    Vaccine Campaign Management: Public organizations are launching public-facing dashboards that help to track available doses, the number of people vaccinated for both doses, among other key data points.

    Pre-registration and phased scheduling: AI and analytics will be used in pre-registration results to predict the population that requires further attention. It helps to track the location and the type of outreach to increase vaccine registration rates in those communities.

    Throughput efficiency: Microsoft’s vaccine management solution will help residents to register for a COVID-19 vaccine and schedule appointments. Also, it will help to enable the effective management of vaccine dosages, vaccination phases, and other areas.

Salesforce Vaccine Cloud

This Salesforce Vaccine Cloud technology will help government agencies, healthcare organizations, businesses, nonprofits, and educational institutions to manage their vaccine programs efficiently.

Also, this will help various sectors in many ways;

Government agencies and public health agencies: This will enable government and public health agencies to secure enough doses, monitor patient outcomes, and make data-driven decisions.

Healthcare provider organizations: These organizations can use Vaccine Cloud to streamline the vaccination processes, such as inventory management, staff training & education, and payment and reimbursement.

Businesses, personnel, retailers, customers, residents: They can get benefit from the Vaccine Cloud as they can simplify the registration and appointment process.

Salesforce Partners: They will extend the power of Vaccine Cloud to scale vaccine programs for various organizations worldwide.

Google Cloud for local governments

This will help local governments with the tools to help visualize how effective infection-control measures could be in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Also, Google Cloud has added an information portal to its solution. This will ease the burden of local governments in attempting to respond to public questions and concerns about vaccines.

Get Informed: This portal would allow people to learn about vaccine availability, determine if they qualify, signup for an appointment, and submit their information to be notified when they become eligible.

Availability and Equitable Access: The solution promises to increase the availability and equitable access to vaccines while assisting governments in the distribution process.
Search and find: Google has also added vaccine-support tools to its search and maps that will help users find COVID-19 vaccine locations.
Book Appointment: The solution offers consumers online registration and prescreening, location searches, and appointment setting as well as automated reminders.

Furthermore, various states including North Carolina and New York, have already deployed Google Cloud’s vaccine management solution.

It will be interesting to see how effective they all are for vaccine management.
