We told you about Salesforce’s first-ever investment in India in an HR Tech platform Darwinbox through our social media posts. Today, we are going to burst the bubble and will tell you how this investment benefits the global CRM leader. Salesforce has funded $15 million in Darwinbox, a human resource technology platform.

Darwinbox raised its series B round in September 2019, led by Sequoia Capital India with Lightspeed India, Endiya Partners, and 3one4 Capital. These investments made the enterprise raise a massive total of $35 million.

So, let’s see how this investment benefits Salesforce

1. Growing Cloud Adoption in Asia

Darwinbox is one of Asia’s leading enterprise HR technology companies. Thus, it would help Salesforce to expand across Asia.

Alex Kayyal, Partner and Head of International of Salesforce Ventures, says, “Cloud adoption in Asia is growing at a monumental pace, and the pandemic has only further amplified the importance of going digital.”

Salesforce would support the mission of Darwinbox to deliver exciting innovations and be a part of Asia’s leading enterprises.

“We are humbled and honored by the growth we’ve seen as well as the opportunity to partner with leading enterprises to drive their HR transformation agenda. Globally, more and more enterprises are abandoning legacy offerings in favor of our modern, agile HCM platform that helps them stay ahead of change,” says Jayant Paleti, Co-founder, Darwinbox.

Salesforce will also help to add innovation in Darwinbox that focuses on the Workforce. Moreover, Darwinbox witnessed a massive surge in adoption ever since the pandemic started. They integrate their suite of offerings to deliver the best during this sudden change in work-life.

With features like touchless attendance, digital rewards, employee engagement, digital hiring, and onboarding, Darwinbox challenged the pandemic. During the lockdown, they did 180 implementations with a record high revenue of 200%. Darwinbox has become one of the most preferred HR tech platforms in the APAC region.

“India is home to one of the world’s youngest population, and by 2050, it is expected to account for over 18% of the global working-age population,” says Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairperson, and CEO, Salesforce India. “This makes technology platforms like Darwinbox, that focuses on workforces, incredibly important. I’m proud that Salesforce is supporting Darwinbox on their journey as they continue to grow and innovate in this space,” she added.

Thus, Salesforce would help Darwinbox to implement their Clouds and innovations to maximize technological advancements.
