Just when we wonder about any new Salesforce acquisition, Salesforce comes up with something for all of us. Recently, our favorite CRM software Salesforce signed a definitive agreement to acquire a consulting partner and app development company, Traction on Demand. The firm has been providing and building solutions on the Salesforce platform for more than 14 years. Traction on Demand has its headquarters in Canada, while the company also has a presence in Australia, New Zealand, India, and the US.

The amount of this acquisition is not disclosed as of now. However, we may get to know about it when the deal closes. But there are a lot of reasons why Salesforce is investing in a consulting firm. Today, we are going to put some light on Salesforce’s inclination towards Traction on Demand. Let’s dive in to know!

Why is Salesforce Acquiring Consultancies?

Traction on Demand is not the first consulting firm that Salesforce has acquired. Previously, Salesforce acquired Kerensen Consulting, ATKA, and Acumen Solutions to strengthen its services and deliver better experiences.

The reasons we could think of are:

Geographical Expansion: Salesforce would be able to expand to a greater geographical area when it acquires more consultancies.

More Customers: Salesforce is trusted by many companies, and thus when Salesforce acquires any consulting firm, their existing customers come into the broader Salesforce umbrella.

Skilled Professionals: Everybody wants to hire skilled professionals for their teams. Salesforce thinks no different. With the Salesforce consulting firm, Salesforce also gets access to professionals that are already skilled and well-read about Salesforce.

Industry Expertise: Consulting firms have years of experience with the Salesforce platform, and the CRM leader gets access to these companies who have existing customers in several industries. Thus, they know how to work with and what to deliver to customers from different industries. And this would benefit Salesforce.

How Would Traction on Demand Benefit Salesforce?

Salesforce, in a smart way, is acquiring Traction on Demand. This acquisition, in turn, would help the CRM leader in numerous ways.

First of all, Salesforce would conveniently utilize the capabilities of Traction on Demand. It would be able to provide better solutions to customers engaged in several industries to meet their specific needs. From Financial Services to communications and across clouds, Salesforce would be able to boost its commitment to bring success from anywhere. Also, with this, Salesforce customers can become more digitally sound and transform their industry.

Traction on Demand will become a part of Salesforce Professional Services. Along with Salesforce partners, Traction on Demand would also help customers do better with the Customer 360 platform and succeed with Salesforce in the all-digital world.
