Just a day ago, MuleSoft announced that it is going to acquire Servicetrace for an undisclosed sum of money. Also, the German-based Robotic Process Automation (RPA) company will be clubbed into MuleSoft, the companies informed through a joint press release. For your information, the CRM giant Salesforce owned MuleSoft in 2018 in a massive $6.5 billion deal.

RPA is emerging as a top software trend that combines robotics and automation to perform repetitive tasks. Furthermore, this is Salesforce’s first acquisition after the mega-deal of Slack in December 2020.

In case you want to know more about Salesforce acquisitions in 2020, here’s something you should check out. Click here.

Servicetrace’s Robotic Process Automation + MuleSoft’s API & Integration

Over the past years, RPA has gained a huge amount of investments. It differs from CRM automation as it emulates humans. This helps to automate a high volume of repetitive tasks. RPA software is designed to interact with systems the same way a human would. RPAs help where integration could be a problem. For instance, you want to integrate two systems that do not have available APIs (such as legacy terminals).

Salesforce Acquires Servicetrace

Also, RPA adoption has increased recently as it allows business users to automate business processes without a specialized development skill. This combination of API integration and automation is essential for companies to scale up their work. Hence, MuleSoft, the leading API and integration platform is coming together with the RPA solution from Servicetrace.

“There’s no shortage of vendors in the RPA market, but what sets Servicetrace apart is its combination of integration, API management, and automation,” said MuleSoft CEO Brent Hayward.

“[These technologies are] required for companies to scale and increase the speed of work — from streamlining sales operations to speeding up customer case resolution. And that’s why we’re thrilled to bring together Servicetrace’s leading RPA solution with our leading API and integration platform,” Hayward wrote in a blog post.
