Winter ‘23 Release Timeline
The first thing you should know is – When the Salesforce Winter ‘23 release will hit your Production so that you can test the major use cases in your environment to ensure the proper functioning of the upcoming features.
You may visit Salesforce Trust to know when the releases are hitting your org if you know where your instance is located.
The release date will depend on your instance, but the major release weekend is as under-
Main Release weekends of Salesforce Winter ‘23
September 9: First release weekend
In the first release weekend, a limited number of customers will get their instance upgraded. And the big surprise is, this year, for the first time ever, Salesforce experts will discuss the highlights of Winter ‘23 in real life at Dreamforce 2022.
October 7: Second release weekend
Another round of releases will be upgraded in this second release weekend. Head to the Salesforce Trust to know the updated information on the timings of the release.
October 14 and 15: Final release weekend
In the last segment of Release, all the remaining instances will be upgraded.
Sandbox Preview Information for Winter ’23
Now that you know when the upgrades will hit your instance, you might be curious about the Sandbox Preview dates so that you can get early access to new features and test configurations. So, refresh your Sandbox to make way for the Preview upgrades on the following dates:
August 25: Sandbox cutoff date
You need to have an active Sandbox Preview to get the preview in your instance.
August 26 and 27: Sandboxes upgraded
Most of the sandboxes will be upgraded on these dates.
August 26: The release site is live
The Release site for Salesforce Winter ’23 goes live on this day!

August 11
Sign up to the test Pre Release environment to explore and test the new features enabled for you to earmark the right one for your org. You may also sign in by logging back into your Summer 22 pre-release org as well.
August 17
