Salesforce has announced that it will acquire Spindle AI, a company known for building advanced AI agents that can analyze data, model scenarios, and predict business outcomes. Instead of spending treasure, it generates and audits hundreds of scenario assumptions in minutes, allowing you to instantly remodel your business as questions evolve.
Likewise, Spindle AI, Salesforce has acquired Bluebird, Slack, ClickSoftware, and many notable companies. Now, Spindle AI sets a benchmark as a leading agentic analytics platform.
Founders and Funding: Driving Expertise and Vision
Salesforce leaders highlighted that they’re not just acquiring a product but gaining world-class talent.
Spindle AI was co-founded by Ryan Atallah, previously founder of ClearGraph, and Carson Kahn, previously founder and CTO of Volley ML. Both are known for deep knowledge in machine learning, multi-agent systems, and high-performance data applications.
Along with its strong technical foundation, Spindle AI has raised more than $6.5 million in seed funding from well-known investors and industry leaders, further validating its vision and potential.
The next generation of agentic systems will be measured by how well they can continuously monitor, explain, and improve their own reasoning.

Spindle AI Platform: Intelligent Agents Meet Actionable Insights
Spindle AI stands out because it brings together intelligent AI agents and strong data systems that can quickly understand and process information. With this setup, teams can instantly evaluate different business decisions – like adjusting prices, changing sales strategies, or exploring new market approaches – and see the possible outcomes.
The platform also integrates seamlessly with tools like Salesforce, Snowflake, Workday, Anaplan, Oracle, and even Excel, making it accessible and useful across a wide range of business environments.
We built Spindle AI to intelligently close the gap between what questions enterprises want to ask of their data and what their data systems can understand.
We have spent years solving the hardest problems in intelligent analytics, machine learning, and data infrastructure. Joining Agentforce allows us to deliver that deep technical focus directly to customers at scale, powering the next era of trusted, autonomous systems by accelerating Agent Observability and Self-Improvement features for Agentforce 360.

Notably, the company has not yet publicly launched its platform. It was scheduled for a Q4 2025 launch but will now shift direction under Salesforce’s ownership.
Spindle AI’s agentic technology enhances analytics platforms by taking the next step: moving from data analysis to automated action. Additionally, it has already positioned itself strongly in the AI marketplace with top-notch competitors, including Gong, Kumo, and Jupiter Intelligence.
Strategic Fit with Salesforce Agentforce: Advancing AI Capabilities
Salesforce wants Spindle AI because it fits perfectly with Agentforce – Salesforce’s platform for building and managing AI agents. While Salesforce already has tools for analytics, the next step is to create AI systems that can reliably explain their reasoning, continuously improve, and provide trustworthy forecasts. Spindle AI brings exactly this expertise.
Adam Evans, EVP & GM, Salesforce AI Platform, Salesforce, said that the real power and efficiency of AI doesn’t lie in its quantity, having a huge amount of data, but rather in its ability to make it understandable that speaks simple language. So, after the acquisition, Spindle AI will join Agentforce and work on strengthening key areas, including the self-improvement pillar for Agentforce 360, agent observability, ROI forecasting, and continuous optimization.
Closing of the acquisition is projected to occur in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2026. Over the past year, Salesforce has made several strategic acquisitions, including Informatica, Apromore, Moonhub, and Convergence, showing a clear commitment to advancing its AI ecosystem.
Ultimately, this deal helps Salesforce step into the next era of AI – one where systems don’t just analyze data but also interpret it, provide insights, and continuously improve over time.
