Spring ‘23 Release Timeline: Important dates
By having an updated timeline of the Release you can start preparing for the new features well in advance.
Below are the Key dates for the Spring 23 Release:
Pre-Release Org: 15 December 2022
Pre-release orgs allow you to test newly released features in a clean, separate environment before they’re rolled out to production.
To access your Spring ’23 pre-release org, log back into your Winter ’23 pre-release org. The pre-release org goes live on 15 December 2022.
Release Notes: 21 December 2022
Perhaps the most anticipated thing in the release cycle, official release notes provide a deep dive into all the exciting features coming to your org! You can find the updates relevant to your products easily there.
And if you have questions or want to share your thoughts on a feature, you can discuss them in the Release Readiness Trailblazer Community Group. The release will become available on the 21st of December, 2022.
Sandbox Preview: January 6, 2023
The Sandbox preview enables you to try out the new features tailored to your Salesforce org without making changes to your production environment!
Using the Salesforce Preview Guide, you can decide if you should upgrade your Sandbox now or wait until Spring ’23 officially releases. Most instances are likely to be upgraded on January 6, 2023.
Major Release Weekends
The date for Spring ’23 Release will depend on your Salesforce instance, but the main release weekends are scheduled for-
- January 20 to 27: Release Readiness Live
- February 3: Second release weekend
- February 10 and 11: Final release weekend
To view the Spring ’23 Release hitting your production org and to know which instance your org is located, go to Salesforce Trust, click on your instance name and select “Maintenance“.
If you’re not sure which instance your org is located on, a quick way to find out is to visit “Company Information” in “Setup” within Salesforce.
