Salesforce is back with yet another release. Even after covering many Salesforce releases, whenever we hear about a new release, it makes us excited and curious. And this time the Salesforce Spring ‘22 release is keeping us all excited.
According to the rolling 12-month release calendar on status.salesforce.com, your production instance will be upgraded to the Spring ‘22 release. You can enter your instance name or domain and click on the maintenance tab to see your upgrade date.
Sign up for a pre-release environment
All of you can now sign up for a pre-release org to test the new features in the Spring ‘22 release. Thus, you will have a lot of time to know what features are right for your organization. If you created a pre-release org for Winter ‘22, you can log back into it. Or you can join the Trailblazer Community Treasure Hunt to know from other trailblazers what features are good to implement.
Mark Your Calendar for the Spring ‘22 release
December 22: Preview notes are available
This is when preview release notes will be available. You can access the preview release here and use the relevant filters to display the things that are related to the release.
January 6: Sandbox cut-off date
You can use your sandbox to access the new features and test configurations before the scheduled production upgrade. Also, you need to ensure that you have an active sandbox on a preview instance before January 6, 2021, to get the Spring ‘22 preview in Sandbox.
January 7: Spring ‘22 release site will go live
You can access the release highlights module on Trailhead to learn about the new features. You will get to learn more about release information through demo videos, Trailhead modules, community forums, and more.
January 14: First release weekend!
The first release weekend where a small number of Salesforce customers will witness the release in their orgs. At this stage of the release, you will be aware of most key features.
February 4 to 11: Release readiness live broadcast
Now you can welcome the Spring ‘22 release! This weekend, you will get to witness some exciting new features along with their demos in real-time. On February 4, another set of instances will be released. So get excited!
February 11 and 12: Final release weekend!
The key dates when all the remaining instances will get upgraded.
