DocuSign is a digital signature and document management platform that allows users to send, sign, and manage electronic documents.

DocuSign for Salesforce allows users to send, track, and sign documents directly within Salesforce, eliminating the need to switch between applications. The integration also provides a secure and compliant solution for managing documents, ensuring that all necessary signatures and approvals are obtained and recorded.

Let’s learn how to configure the DocuSign application in Salesforce for capturing e-signature and approvals.

Installing the App

Before Starting with the DocuSign Application, you should install the app in your Org using the App Exchange link.

After installing DocuSign Application in Your org. Click DocuSign Setup. And login to DocuSign and select an account, Authorize, and complete these Steps.

Steps for DocuSign Configuration

Step 1 :

Click on Manage. Give your team members access to DocuSign Applications.

Step 2 :

Now we click on DocuSign Envelope Templates. And create New.

Step 3 :

Inside the ENVELOPE TEMPLATE under the Agreement complete all 6 steps.

  • Upload the Document we want to sign.
  • Add Recipients: Set up who will receive this template and what their roles will be. You can add users from your Salesforce org or external sources.
  • Merge Fields: Merge fields allow you to use Salesforce data in your DocuSign envelopes. You can add and manage merge fields here before placing them onto documents.
  • Click Place field: when we click the place field our screen looks like this. And we can add the signature.
  • Add option: You can tweak the settings used in this template before and after sending.

2. Add custom Button: Click Page Layout.

After completing these steps, Click Save and finish.

Now go on Opportunity Object record and click on the Agreement custom Button in the top right corner.

When we click Agreement screen will look like this. Now click prepare and send.

Then Click Send.

Now we go on Email and sign Document. And Click Finish.Now we go on Email and sign Document. And Click Finish.

This was the Final Step.

Now we go on Opportunity record and see your Document sign is completed.
