Salesforce is a very easy and intuitive platform when it comes to updating information. It allows us to edit, update or delete records easily. But when trying to do all of these operations in mass, we have to do each of them individually or with the help of the Data loader.

However, with a very efficient tool on Salesforce AppExchange, we can easily mass edit, delete and update records in Salesforce in both Classic and Lightning.

 

So, in this blog today, we will share how to set up Mass Edit, Update & Delete in Salesforce Classic & Lightning to be able to perform these operations in bulk. Let’s start!

Step by Step guide to set up mass edit, mass update, and mass Delete in Salesforce

1. Login To Your Salesforce Account & Go to Setup > In Quick Find Search for AppExchange Marketplace.

2. Search For ActionHub click on the app given below or just go to this link.

3. This window will open and click on get it now.

4. Now choose the instance on which you want to install the package.

5. Now select with which user you want to install this package and click on install

6. After installation now set up the button on the object you need for eg. Account, Contact, or Lead.

6.1. In Salesforce Classic

  6.1.1.  Go to Setup on Quick Find. Search for the object you want to set up, the button in this case Contact, and click on Search Layouts.

     6.1.2.   Click on Edit in front of Contact List View.

  6.1.3.   Add All three buttons by dragging them to the other side and click save.

  6.1.4.   Now on the list view, you can see all the buttons ready to use.

6.2. In Salesforce Lightning

  6.2.1.   Go to the List view button layout.
